Come with us for this walking tour and enjoy the historical center of Porto. The representative Lello Bookshop is one of our stops. Founded in 1881, Lello settled in the neogothic building in 1906. Enjoy the inside where the plaster looking like wood is everywhere. The Avenida dos Aliados and São Bento Train Station is part of our on foot itinerary. On the top of the hill and from the train station, we walk to the cathedral-fortress, the birthplace of the Christian city of Porto. Different views from there, the perfect spot for photos and for admiring the cloister and its baroque tiles and the gilded carved wood altars inside the church. And then we will reach the river front. And our last visit is the iconic Bolsa Palace or Stock Exchange Palace - symbol of the economic power of Porto, housing the Commercial Association of the city since 1842.
Not to miss....the Arabian Room! Dress to impress....that was the main purpose...to impress the visitors in the past and this mission continues!
